York RI Sailing Club has a new identity, and a new name! After almost 65 years of happy association with York Railway Institute (latterly York RI – see What’s in a name? below), we have sailed off on our own as a newly established independent organisation, York Sailing Club. This change of tack will mean some differences in the way the club is managed, but there will be few changes on the ground (apart from a new sign above the door). We will continue to be a family-friendly sailing club, offering sailing (and other water-based activities) to anyone in the York area, or indeed from further afield. Come and join us! (And in the meantime, please bear with us as we change the many occurrences of YRISC that are scattered throughout this website. It will take a few days to mop them all up …)
